Details:

Join our group as we enjoy a day of history.  Our day will begin at the Carter House where we will enjoy an hour long tour that will feature the house, the outbuildings, and (weather permitting) the grounds. Guides will lead the group and tell about the Battle of Franklin as well as the Carter family, the enslaved people, and the farm.  Upon finishing the tour, participants are encouraged to eat a quick lunch (picnic lunch may be best) before making their way (by vehicle) to Carnton.  Our group will enjoy a one hour long tour at Carnton which will feature the house, the outbuildings, and (weather permitting) the grounds and cemeteries. Guides will lead our group through the tour and tell about the Battle of Franklin, the Confederate field hospital, the McGavocks, the enslaved people, the cemeteries, and the farm.

This trip is geared towards middle and high school age students, although other ages are welcome to attend.

Participants are asked to arrive by 9:45 am at the Carter House to check in and be ready for the first tour to start at PROMPTLY 10 am.  Participants are then asked to arrive by 11:30am at the Carnton Plantation to check in and be ready for the second tour to start promptly at 11:45am.  This trip is scheduled to end at roughly 12:45pm.

Student tickets are $13 each, adult tickets are $25.50 each

This trip requires a minimum in order to proceed.

Rules & Regulations:

Each individual attending this trip/event must have a ticket purchased directly from Nashville Homeschool Calendar by the ticket purchase deadline. If tickets are not secured through Nashville Homeschool Calendar by such deadline, individuals will not be permitted to participate in the trip/event. Walk-ins or individuals who purchase tickets outside of Nashville Homeschool Calendar (contacting the venue directly) will not be accepted as part of the group.

No refunds after February 1, 2023. It is your responsibility to find someone to take your place if you can no longer come or you will forfeit your tickets. Admin fees are non-refundable.
